Home learning daily schedule

Daily schedule

Children learn through play and this is certainly our approach. At Little Munchkin Patch (LMP) we try and make learning as fun as possible, but to get through a wide spectrum of topics with children on a daily basis you need to have a plan. We don’t know how long we are going to be asked to stay at home and with only one trip outside a day permitted we all need to utilise our family time sensibly.

Many children learn by routine, so the more consistent you are with chore time for example the more this will become like second nature and this goes for any subject. Remember everything is new once, sometimes adhering to a schedule at first is difficult as both you and children find your rhythm, but stick with it, comfort, order and fulfilment is found when you make a schedule work.
The schedule we have provided here is an adapted timetable we use at LMP. We are certainly not staying you must use it but it might be a good place to start. It can be adapted as and when you feel the need.

Parents, please record your child’s play and learning and upload it to your child’s tapestry profile (not send images via WhatApp) so learning can be logged and we can prepare new resources, play activities and suggest individual next steps.

Let us know how you get on!
